Samuel, born and raised in Hawaii, completed his 1-year master's degree in 2024. He has his BS in Agricultural Science from the Pacific University of Oregon. For his master's degree, he worked on comparative genomics of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vasculorum

 

He joined this program once learning about it to further advance his education and professional capabilities within the workforce with a goal being to eventually find Biosecurity work in the United States Government
